Rescue:

Pet Patrol was approached by the local city shelter in regards to an orange cat named Nemo.
Knowing that one of our coordinators has a soft spot for orange cats they were comfortable in
asking if we would be interested in taking in this boy. Apparently Nemo had been adopted
into a home a few years back and now finds himself in need of another family to care for him.
It was not his idea, and now he was displaying his unhappiness at the shelter. It seemed like quite
a predicament to him that he had no control over. Nemo is not a cat that particularly likes to be
caged and it took him a few days to adjust to his new environment. After that he was happily
rolling around, rubbing up against his caregivers hands, pushing his nose into their palms
asking for pets and cuddles. Soon Pet Patrol brought him into our care.

Personality:

Finding Nemo is easy: he is a friendly and inquisitive cat who is full of life. He’s a mirror for
attention: he will return the energy you give him in play and pets, but can get a bit riled up if the
play gets rough, so that is to be avoided. Be prepared for Nemo to seek you out to play with
him – chasing lasers really shows off his long, lean frame and big paws. During the day he
loves to watch the world through the window from a comfortable perch and he’ll hang around
his people for cuddles or practically beg for belly rubs. This handsome cat is very sweet and
seems to enjoy head bunting everything when he’s happy – which is most of the time! Nemo
can be a bit skittish with loud noises and would prefer a quieter home. He is ready to be
adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely
indoors.
