Rescue:
Pet Patrol received a message from a woman who just lives up the road from the sanctuary. It
is a farm and the extended family that lives there makes their living the old fashioned way.
They grow crops, have some cows, chickens, horses for transportation and plowing and of
course cats. Over the past few years they have offered cats to us, as they feel they have
enough and don’t want to over populate their property. Cats have a purpose on farms, and
that is to control the rodent population which is attracted to the grain that is stored for the
livestock. This farm is very good to their cats and they are fed daily and given fresh water as
well, but every winter the cats have colds and they rely on the country vet to help with medication. Educating them on having a warm, dry place for the cats to seek out on the cold winter
nights has been discussed and a plan is in place. Kanroe came into our care with lots of
energy and a fun loving personality
Personality:
Kanroe is a very fun loving and active kitten. He loves to play and to climb the kitty cat trees,
run through tunnels, jump at the wand toys and bat anything around especially plastic eggs.
He is always around his foster family interested in what they are doing. He welcomes you at
the door with kisses and follows you around even climbing into your shopping bags. He is
very curious and can often be found in cupboards or laundry baskets. When he is tired, he will
sleep in your lap or in your arms with a loud purr. Kanroe is ready to be adopted into his
forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors
