Rescue:
A woman reached out to Pet Patrol to try and find a rescue organization that would take in her
daughters two friendly cats. This is the rehoming story for Caitie and Cleo: They were both
adopted as kittens from the woman’s coworker whose cat had a litter of kittens. The daughter,
an adult with children of her own, chose the two kittens to bring into her home with her family and
they have thrived. All seem to be going well and the kittens were playful and active in this busy
family life but then life changed. The young woman took sick. She was struggling to look after her
children and and family were coming in to watch the children while she tried to get some rest and
recuperate. it just proved to be too much with the two active cats as well. Cleo and Caitie had
never been to the vet, to receive vaccinations or to be spayed and this was just not some thing
that was in their plans at this time. Rehoming the cats was not taken lightly and there were a lot
of tears and sadness to see them go, but coming into the safety of a cat rescue organization
proved to be a positive decision.
Personality:
Cleo and Caitie are quite bonded to each other. When they first arrived at their foster home it
took a little time for Cleo to warm up but it is the most rewarding feeling once she does. She is a
sweet, affectionate girl who loves attention and you will never have to wonder where she is. She
waits for the perfect opportunity to receive some pets, cuddles or a full-body brushing. If Cleo
had it her way she’d spend all day sleeping on your chest. When she’s not busy being your little
shadow she loves to cuddle up with her sister Caitie for some snuggles and grooming. Caitie is
very gentle and sweet, can start off shy as well and likes to be cozy and completely hide under
blankets. It is adorable to peek under the covers and see her peeking back at you. She appreciates gentle pets and she can be a very playful girl. Her favourite toys being any string or wand
toys and is known to be the neighbourhood watch cat, keeping tabs on the activities outside from
the safety of the window ledge. Both girls are ready to be adopted into their forever home together. One that will welcome them into the family and keep them safely indoors.
