Rescue:
Ella and Kobi are two young female cats who were found in a garden shed. The man was
starting to clean things out when he opened the door and saw out of the corner of his eye, two
little cats curled up in the corner. He had no idea where they came from but was able to crouch
down and pet them and they seem quite receptive. He was renting the house to a young
woman who had children and asked if she would like to keep the two cats as he was not sure
about sending them to the city shelter nor was aware of cat rescue organizations around. She
gladly took them in as her children would enjoy the cats and their company . Ella is fine with the
children but Kobe kind of kept to herself and was not sure about a busy home life. But they
were accepted into the house. Neither of them had been to the vet or were spayed. Shortly
after, the woman received notice that the man was selling the house unexpectedly and she had
two months’ notice to leave. In this post Covid market with houses selling for such high prices
there are a few places to rent for a reasonable rate and she had decided to move closer to
family. The cats could not come. There are different rules and regulations in different provinces
in regards to pets in apartments and in this location they were not allowed. She reached out to
Pet Patrol and we gladly took the two cats in. They have since been fostered in a adult only
home and have thrived.
Personality:
Ella and Kobi are very bonded and look out for each other. Ella is more outgoing and Kobi
more reserved, but petable and loves a good scratch. They can be found on the cat tree
peering out the window at the world, taking note of the squirrels and birds and basking in the
sun. Ella will greet everyone and is quite a cuddle bug and Kobi is her side kick. Both girls
are ready to be adopted into a forever home that is understanding of the extra affection
needed for Kobi and will keep the sisters together. One that will welcome them into the family
and keep them safely indoors
