Merlin

Rescue:

Pet Patrol is presently getting a lot of calls on friendly and affectionate cats that have been
abandoned. For Merlin, this is the case as well. Very sad. He was discovered by a couple
who don’t normally see cats running loose in their neighbourhood. Most are owned cats and
living indoors. Merlin arrived, crying and asking for help but he was also a little intimidated
by his surroundings. He would hide in the bushes and come out for food and eventually
petting. We don’t think he was born outside as he seemed desperate to get inside the
house. He has been there for about a month and realizing that he had no home to go to
they called the local shelter. At the time they were not taking in any cats and from there the
search was on to find a cat rescue organization. Eventually they found Pet Patrol and this
cute boy came into our care.

Personality:

What an awesome cat he is. Merlin is friendly and affectionate, loves his people and wants
nothing more than to be held and cuddled. He is outgoing and likes to explore things and he
is much more confident now. A lovely boy. He purrs and smiles the minute you look at him.
He has done well at the sanctuary and is good with all the other cats. Merlin loves to play
with all the new toys here, climb the kitty climbers and sleep in the soft beds by the window.
He is a great cat and ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him
into the family and keep him safely indoors.
