Rescue:
Benji is such a cutie. She was initially found just wandering around a couple‘s backyard,
and they had not seen this little one before and wondered where she came from. Then
they saw the mother cat. She did not look good at all. She was very thin, malnourished,
unsteady and did not move too far. It appeared that she had brought her lone kitten to
these people to be cared for. That is the most important thing for any mother – to make
sure their offspring are looked after. The couple had been feeding other stray cats and
were not surprised to see them venture towards the food dish, but the mother cat did not
eat. The couple waited to see if the mom was going to keep moving with the kitten or take
up residence in their yard, but she left and was never seen again. Poor little Benji was
wandering around unsure of what to do so they brought her into the house and she immediately
made herself at home. She was very happy for the help these people provided her,
love and safety in their home.
Personality:
Benji is a girl, who was initially thought to be a boy, hence the name. She is adorable,
sweet, kind, loving and affectionate. She has been loved deeply by her rescue home, and
they were saddened to not be able to keep her and we can see why. Like all young cats
she is playful, loves her toys and is quite inquisitive of what is new and interesting in the
house. She is a wonderful cuddler and settles right in for a nap, enjoys a nice petting
session and an ear rub. Not being a big cat, she is easy to carry around. Benji is very
happy to watch the world outside from the window sill or top perch of the cat tree. This
lovely little cat is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her
into the family and keep her safely indoors
