Rescue:

One of Pet Patrol’s supporters received a call one evening about a
beautiful little kitty that she saw.  She was located in the middle of
town at a fast food restaurant and the local kids had been feeding her
some pieces of chicken.  One of the employees took note and knew that
this cat should not be on the street.  She called our supporter and
asked if she could come and rescue her.  Immediately she went over and
it was not hard to locate the cat.  She was in plain sight near the
picnic tables, looking for food and a bit of compassion. She was very
thin, had a poor looking coat and she was desperate to be taken care
of.  Community postings were put out to try and find her
original owner, hoping she had accidentally gotten out of the house, but
no one replied.

Personality:

This is one happy cat to be  rescued and cared for.  Kanika was not a
street cat and was very uncomfortable to be outside begging for food.
It is lucky for her that she was not taunted or run over with the cars
coming and going from the parking lot, and the busy road beyond.  Once
in Pet Patrol care she ate and slept for three days from sheer
exhaustion.  After that Kanika showed us how fun loving, affectionate
and sweet natured she is.  She is elegant and once her coat becomes
glossy she will be stunning.  Kanika is ready to be adopted into her
forever home.  One that will welcome her into the family and keep her
safely indoors.
