Rescue:
Much loved and great company for a man who was on disability, Blaze and Louie had lived
their entire lives with him. He was a good person, gentle in nature and it was reflected in
the cats. They too were calm, loving and affectionate cats and appreciated their person.
But, unfortunately, life changes sometimes, in ways that we are not prepared for and in the
end the cats had to be rehomed. The man knew that there were changes going on in his
apartment building. The landlady was improving the property and wanted higher rent to
attract tenants who were working professionals. It was just a matter of time, and he
knew she would want him to leave. Things became uncomfortable, and being on a severely
limited income, he had no choice but to seek a new home for himself. He wanted to
move closer to family, but affordable housing was scarce and he ended up renting just a
room. The cats were not invited and it broke his heart. Both boys came into Pet Patrol
care and shared their love and cuddles with their foster mom immediately
Personality:
Louie (tabby) and Blaze (black) are sweet and affectionate boys. It is obvious that they
were treated well, and much loved in their previous home. They love to be pet, brushed
and receive neck and back massages. Blaze is curious and adventurous, especially in the
evenings but spends much of the day napping in cozy hiding places. He likes to play with
little mice and loves catnip. Louie also likes catnip and loves watching the world from the
window and napping in boxes. He will sit on your lap for as long as you keep up with the
chin and ear scratches. These adorable gentlemen are looking for a quiet home and a
family that will give them all the pets and attention they deserve. They are ready to be
adopted into a forever home. One that will welcome them into the family and keep them
safely indoors
