Yahaira & Yalla

Rescue:

From their rescuer: A man who lives up the highway has several barn cats, most of which he
has had spayed or neutered, but from time to time he gets a stray that wanders in from the
fields. Well, one day this little mama cat missed being collected on surgery day and eventually
she had kittens, but she hid them in the barn. The man was finally able to locate the nest and
the wee babies, and he prepared a safer environment for them. All his cats are provided with
warm and safe shelter and in general he loves his cats. It was important to him that the kittens
became socialized so that they could be turned over to a rescue organization. He did not
want to keep them, as he felt they deserved to be in homes with loving families. Pet Patrol
was contacted about Yahaira and Yalla to see if we could find them homes. The mother cat
has since been spayed and as she is not totally social, he will keep her as a barn cat.

Personality:

Yalla and Yahaira are very bonded to each other. One is never far from the other and they can
be found playing and cuddling together. While a little shy warming up to new people they really
do like to be around people and can easily be won over with treats. That will entice them to
explore their environment more and get to know new people easier. They start purring as soon
as they see you, anticipating a pet and a nice chin scratch. They love to play with toys and
with each other, chasing after a dangling string from the wand toy, a bouncy ball or anything
that crinkles. You can often find them snuggling together or watching birds from the window.
Adorable girls, ready for adoption together into their forever home. They are looking for a
family that will welcome them into the home and keep them safely indoors.
