Rescue:

Lydia is a very sweet cat who showed up on a farm property out of the blue. It was a sheep
farm and a fair distance from any town, not many neighbours around at all but very picturesque.
It is unlikely, considering her good health at the time of her rescue, that she was a
roaming barn cat as her fur was not dry or brittle and her pads were soft and clean. She was
very pregnant though and shortly after her arrival she had a litter of kittens. Once old enough
the family were able to find homes for them but no one wanted an unspayed female. Because
they already had a controlled colony of cats, meaning that all the cats are spayed or neutered,
they didn’t want to start all over again with a cat that is producing kittens several times a year.
Lydia needed to find a new home. Soon she was on her way to Pet Patrol

Personality:

Lydia came into Pet Patrol care showing interest in her new surroundings right away and she
took everything in stride. She didn’t hiss or growl or hide in the corner; she wanted to explore
and check everything out. She is fine with the other cats at the sanctuary as she had lived with
a number of cats on the country property. This makes it easier for her to integrate into a family
home with another pet. She is a dear little cat who is easy to pick up, loves the attention and
purrs sweetly. She is a doll and it has been interesting to watch her explore toys. Something
she had never seen before. Anything that dangles, rolls or bounces is fair game. Lydia is
ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep
her safely indoors
