Rescue:

Kiwi and Kava (and another sister) were the first litter born to a mother cat, and at the time
of our rescue she had another litter of six kittens. They all spent this past winter living with a
loving family and the two resident cats they already had – yes – there were twelve cats and
it was a very busy winter! The six younger kittens and one sister, who were all very friendly,
have been adopted and Kiwi and Kava stayed with this family to learn a bit more about how
to embrace the love and attention of humans. They are now cuddly and affectionate cats.
They are comfortable around other cats and children, and like living inside. Kiwi and Kava
would very much benefit from a forever home because the longer they stay in their foster
home, the more attached they get, but keeping them permanently is not an option.

Personality:

Kiwi and Kava have changed dramatically from the frightened little kittens who had never
been touched by people before. They are fun loving, friendly and love to be pet and have a
good scratch behind their ears and under their chins. They are playful kitties, liking to chase
after anything that dangles or drags, crinkle balls and a cardboard box is so much fun.
Throw in a ping pong ball and it is loads of entertainment for them. Kiwi and Kava are ready
to be adopted into their forever home. One that will welcome them into the family and
keep them safely indoors.
