Rescue:
Pet Patrol received a call from a couple who lived in the next town. Nice couple, nice area of
town and a quiet neighbourhood. They had heard about Pet Patrol and knew that we took
cats in but they weren’t really sure what we did with them. They mentioned that last summer
they discovered a pretty little female cat living underneath their back deck. She was very
sweet and would come within a short distance of them, but remained timid. They provided a heated cat house for her, fed her daily and made sure she had fresh water
year round. Unfortunately they never thought to try and touch her because they assumed she
was feral (wild) because she lived outside. Maybe that was not by choice though, she may
have been a house cat, abandoned and now unsure of who to trust. As would happen, because
she was not spayed, she became pregnant and had kittens, Taco, Tamari and Taffy
among them. Unfortunately some of the other kittens disappeared before the people could
rescue them, which put them into action quickly. These three kittens came into Pet Patrol care
and the mom is now spayed and living inside their home.
Personality:
Taffy, Tamari, and Taco are three snuggle bug purring machines! They play hard and snuggle
even harder when they’re done chasing their spring and bell toys. Taffy is a beautiful brown
tabby who loves nothing more than to take a long nap in your lap. She’s the tiniest, but is the
adventurous leader of the pack. When it comes to playtime, she is the calm one of this trio.
Tamari is a playful grey tabby. She loves her spring toy and will pounce whenever she gets a
chance. This girl has tremendous height to her pounces! Once she has all her energy out, then
she is content to snuggle and give kisses. Taco is the big brother in this crew. This orange
tabby thinks he is a tiger on the prowl. He also loves to curl up on a lap for a good snuggle and
turn on his big purr. All three kittens are used to loads of snuggles from the children in their
foster home and are ready for adoption into their forever home. One that will welcome them
into the family and keep them safely indoors. .
