Rescue:
Pet Patrol received a call from a smaller cat rescue organization about two cats from separate
situations that needed to come into our care. One of those cats was Missy. She is a well
loved and cherished cat of an elderly man who suddenly passed away, and no one in the
family would take in his cat permanently. We’ve had several calls like this, especially this year,
in regards to the resident cat being left homeless. Missy is a lovely and gentle cat who is well
behaved and very affectionate. She stayed temporarily with family members, but it was obvious
that she wasn’t going to do well in the home with their dog. She just stood up in the window
and avoided him at all cost. Soon Missy was in our care and is looking for a family home
Personality:
From her foster mom: Little Miss Missy is the queen of snuggles. What a nice cat! She loves
head and butt scratches, just chilling with you and has a very sweet demeanor. She’s super
smart too. When she was first introduced to her foster home, she quickly figured out where
she can and cannot go and never broke the rules. She is also a little bit of a goof and once
she becomes comfortable with the household routine she loves to play with a birdie on a stick
or with blankets. Overall, she’s a super friendly cat and would cuddle every minute of the day if
she could. She’s a little purring machine and just such a confident and curious kitty. Missy is
ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep
her safely indoors.
