Rescue:

When tragedy strikes, it often happens in threes, and sad circumstances lead to drastic
changes in one’s life. For KiwI and her house mate Heineken they were affected as well by
what was happening in their families’ lives and came into Pet Patrol care to find a forever
home. Adopted together at a young age, they lived with a nice couple through moving homes,
careers, children and now unfortunately a break up. As this was happening the beloved family
dog passed away and a dear family member was undergoing serious medical care. What
more could happen to these people! After searching for a new home for the cats with family or
friends, and coming up empty, the family reached out to Pet Patrol for help in finding them a
new home. Although the cats have been raised together it seems they were more attached to
the family dog than to each other, therefore they can be adopted into new homes separately.

Personality:

Kiwi is a very sweet and attention loving cat who also can be a bit elusive when she needs
space. She is very graceful and agile, fairly playful and likes pretty much any cat toy or reflection
of light off the walls. She is one who likes to be pet and cuddled and will seek out a comfy
lap during a movie or nap time. She’s great with kids and gentle dogs, is very patient and
doesn’t mind being picked up. When she sleeps, she’ll generally find a comfortable spot on a
laundry basket or curl up on your bed. Kiwi is a nice family cat ready to be adopted into her
forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors
