Kiki

Rescue:

Pet Patrol received a phone call from a woman stating “I have a cat in my car for you, I am on
my way”. ?? This was the first that we had heard of Kiki and she was now homeless, but at
least heading in the right direction. Here is Kiki’s story. She was owned by a lovely woman
who suddenly passed away peacefully in her own home. As friends and family were helping
to clear out her apartment they were wondering what to do with her little cat, who had been her
constant companion. Her friend said she knew of a man who liked cats and thought he would
take Kiki, so she drove an hour to his home, only to find he was not home (he had no idea the
woman was planning on leaving a cat with him). This left her not knowing what to do, sitting
with a cat in a carrier in the back of the car. Then she remembered Pet Patrol and soon this
dear cat was in our care. Good thing the man was not at home as later the woman described
his situation as “not good, really not good” We are grateful that Kiki’s future is healthy and
secure and will be filled with love in her new home.

Personality:

Kiki is a very pretty Torti cat who was described as quite timid, but we found her to be bright
and alert, interested in her surroundings and good with new people. Her markings are gorgeous
and her beautiful sea green eyes are brilliant. She loves to sit next to you to be pet and
sleeps next to you all night. She is not a high energy cat, but rather a calm and easy going girl
who plays gently with her toys and her favorites are the catnip mice, ping pong balls and
chasing the laser pen light. Kiki is now ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that
will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
