Rescue:

Pet Patrol had become aware of a small colony of cats that were living in the center of a small town. They were being fed daily, had fresh water and a place to sleep, unlike some street cats, but they did not have an owner and were not spayed or neutered. Susie was the mother to most of these cats, and she would sleep inside the big shed/small barn structure, and then play outside during the day. There were a few small businesses in this building, and the people there were respectful of the cats, and many of them were picked up and cuddled and became very friendly and affectionate with their caregivers. One man took on the task to get some of the cats altered at the low cost spay neuter clinic in the city, and someone else provided food. One day a visiting relative called Pet Patrol and said she wanted to help get some of the cats fixed and since they were now friendly could we take them into our care. It all worked out well, and Susie, Simba, Patsy, Harrison and Freda are thriving in the sanctuary.

Personality:

When Susie first arrived at Pet Patrol she had been taken right from her outdoor life, to the vet clinic, spayed and then to her recovery room at the sanctuary. Poor girl did not know what hit her ad was a bit out of sorts.. What is this place she must have wondered? She has integrated in with the other cats very well, and made herself at home now. She likes to gaze out the window and see the world outside, but is content to stay put inside. She is a petite little cat who is looking for a gentle and caring person, in a quiet and cat friendly home. Susie is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors
