ADOPTION PROFILE

Fenix

Fenix

Fenix

Rescue:

Pet Patrol received a message from one of our supporters about this sweet boy. He was
found on a dairy farm, new to the colony and looking quite the worse for wear. Apparently, our
volunteer’s friend owns the farm and was finding several cats had migrated from the neighbour’s
property that had recently been sold. All the livestock were gone, the milk quote is sold
and the entire acreage, barn and house were taken on by new owners. This was a young
couple who are not interested in inheriting the barn cats and the elderly previous owners did
not know how to re home them. They felt their only option was to just leave them behind and
hope for the best (not really a good plan). Well, cats being cats, they will start to hunt for food
when their kibble dish is not full, and Fenix is no exception. Off he went through fields and
bush to reach the other farm. He quickly became a favourite there, but they became really
worried for him when he was being targeted by the resident barn cats. A new home was
needed for this sweet boy. Soon afterwards, this friendly and affectionate cat came into Pet
Patrol care.

Personality:

Fenix is a wonderful boy who is gentle and loving. He is fine with meeting other cats, new
people and a change in his environment. He didn’t seem bothered by coming into the sanctuary
and once his medical needs were met, he was integrated in with the other feline residents
here. Fenix showed us a playful side, even though he has not had much exposure to cat tunnels,
toys or kitty climbers, but he explored them all. People are his most favrouite though and
he greets you at the door and will provide you with good company. Fenix is ready to be
adopted into his forever home. He is a lap cat for sure and would like a home that will welcome
him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
