Rescue:
Coco is a sweet girl who came from up north. Pet Patrol receives calls from people from all
over, who are in need of placing their cats but cannot find anyone locally. This pretty torti
came from a large beef production farm where the population of cats had reached about
fifty and most were not spayed or neutered. Every year, inundated with kittens, the woman
would try to find homes for them, but after a while she had used up all her resources. Finally,
she reached out to local cat rescue organizations because her life took a dramatic
turn. Her husband suddenly passed away. Not able to continue running the large farm she
was looking to prepare the property for sale. Several cat rescues have pitched in to help
and Coco (and a previously rescued cat Ellis) came to Pet Patrol.
Personality:
Coco is a pretty nice little cat who has easily fit into her busy foster home, with children and
other pets. She is very affectionate and purrs all day long. Just a lovely little girl. She is ok
with smaller dogs, laying near them while they nap and showing no concern with being in their
presence. Toys are still secondary to people as she would rather be cuddled and pet than
chase down a toy, but that will come with time. When people come to visit she is not shy in the
least, and she is happy to meet them and make them feel welcomed by rubbing up against
their legs and flopping across their lap. Coco loves to be picked up and carried around and will
lounge with you on the couch and at bedtime. Quite the investigator she knows where everything
is in the house and what is happening outside from the safely of the window ledge. Coco
is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and
keep her safely indoors..
