Rescue:
Pet Patrol is preparing for kitten season at this time of year and still taking in cats of all
ages. We received a email from a woman who, sadly, had to re home her two cats. There
were both only 18 months old and she was unable to keep them any longer because of a
marriage breakup. Having to move from the home they created together with her two small
children, she was not allowed to take the cats with her. It was a very sad situation for
everyone. The cats originally were her husbands, but he didn’t want to take them with him
and didn’t want to post them on a social site or take them to a shelter. She sought out
rescue organizations who take the time to screen the potential adopters and make sure it is
a good fit for the cats. Soon afterward both Monica and Phoebe came into Pet Patrol care
and settled in almost immediately
Personality:
Although the girls don’t appear to have the exotic markings of their parents, the original
owners assured us that they were born to Siamese and Bengal crossed cats. Both Phoebe
and Monica are very loving and affectionate who readily greet their people when they come
home, and are eager to be pet. Being raised with young children they are happy to interact
with them and have never shown any kind of hesitation with the activity of a young family.
Monica and Phoebe are very bonded and seek each other out for play, cuddles, grooming,
sunbeams, and long snuggly naps. They are now ready to be adopted into their forever
home together. One that will welcome them into the family and keep them safely indoors.
