Rescue:
Just a few days before Pet Patrol was alerted, a woman discovered Watson in her window
well. It was 6:30 in the morning and minus 19 degrees outside and she was listening to the
weather report on the TV. The woman lives in a basement apartment and could hear little
mews which didn’t sound like they were part of the program. She turned off the TV and that
is when she saw Watson pressed up against the window, trying to get some warmth. She
opened the next window and no sooner had she called out ‘kitty kitty’ when Watson zoomed
over and started coming into the house. She welcomed him. As he sat on the bathroom
counter inhaling the food she put out for him; he was purring loudly. He was a nice cat. She
called the neighbours looking for his home, and contemplated putting him on a farm but felt
he was too nice.. Posting him on her FB page she was alerted to Pet Patrol and soon he
was on his way to the sanctuary
Personality:
By all accounts Watson is a great cat who loves everyone. He is very adaptable to new
environments, wanting to check everything out and see what is happening. He is friendly
and outgoing, happy go lucky and is all for belly rubs. He is easy to pick up and carry, will
cuddle up to you on your lap and fall into a deep sleep. Watson has a wonderful purr. Being
a cat who had to deal with starvation, ice, snow and bitter winds he has no interest in
the outdoors again. This handsome boy is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One
that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
