Rescue:
Koyoko”s momma, Woode, and her four kittens were part of yet another rural rescue. Once
help is provided to have cats spayed or neutered to control the overpopulation on a property,
it doesn’t take long for neighbours to talk and share the information. A neighbour came
over during a rescue mission and was inquiring what the process was. She was feeding a
little stray female that had had a number of litters and she was wanting to do the right thing
by having this cat spayed. She was willing to let the cat continue to live there but she would
be living in her garage. When this kitty was taken into the vet clinic to be spayed she had a cold,
which is common in cats when living outside. Surgery could not be done. The woman took
her back, provided the cat with medication and she recovered beautifully, but unfortunately
the woman also allowed the cat to come and go as she pleased, and yes…another litter was
born. Woode and her kittens were all brought into Pet Patrol care, spayed and ready for
their forever homes.
Personality:
Kyoko likes to pounce and hunt, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. Mice and wand
toys are no match for a skilled hunter like her. She doesn’t always hunt alone though, sometimes
a hunting buddy makes it even more fun, and a napping buddy is always welcomed.
Kyoko is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the
family and keep her safely indoors.
