Rescue:

Pet Patrol volunteers are very dedicated to helping lost and homeless cats in their neighbourhoods
and supporting other rescue missions. For Farley, he suddenly showed up on
the front porch of one of our volunteers. She has a feeding station and a heated cat house
just outside her front door and often she has up to sixteen homeless cats receiving their
daily meal. Especially in poor weather, there are no means of hunting down their food, as
most are hibernating. There isn’t even fresh water in the winter time. But she cares for them
all. The injured and tame are rescued and cared for, medical needs met and new homes (if
owner cannot be found) for those who are friendly. Feral (wild) cats are spayed/neutered
and returned to the feeding station, knowing that they have shelter and food readily available
for them. Farley was the exception as he would come and just sit on the porch, in such a
position that when she looked out the front door she would see his chubby face. Immediately
she took his food out to him, and he would happily purr. After searching for his original
owner, and not finding one, he came into Pet Patrol care

Personality:

Farley is a great cat. He is gentle and unassuming. He took to living with the other cats,
and the busyness of the sanctuary without incident. He made himself right at home. He is
easy to approach and give him a good scratch on the head and chin. He likes to be near
people. Toys are still a mystery to him, and he is not quite sure what to do with them, which
tells us he was living outside longer than we thought. Farley is a good sized cat, tall and
long with a sweet face and laid back personality. Such a nice boy and such good company.
He is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family
and keep him safely indoors
