Rescue:
A young girl was driving down a country road, and noticed a lump up ahead, right on the
white line, and then suddenly it moved! As she slowly approached it in her car she realized
that it was an animal, it might be injured, it could be wild. It raised its head and turned to
look at her, it was a cat! This was Korrigan. There was another car coming so she pulled
over to the side as she didn’t want this little kitty to have two cars passing him at the same
time. Surely it would have bolted in the wrong direction and been hit. The woman quickly
got out of her car, and luckily, when she reached him he did not hesitant about being picked
up and was gathered in the woman’s coat and carried to the car. Shutting the door to keep
everyone safe she sat there and took a breath and looked at this cute boy and said “now
what”. Soon afterwards she began calling around to local shelters and came across Pet
Patrol and within a few days Korrigan was at the sanctuary
Personality:
What a lovely little cat! Korrigan has been a sweet and gentle kitten from the minute he was
picked up off the center of the road. He obviously was handled by people before and enjoyed
it. Upon examination by the vet we found that he had had some trauma to his jaw and
his front teeth have been damaged. They are quite crooked, but they don’t seem to bother
him while eating or grooming. Appreciative of being inside he will purr the minute you touch
him, he will come for attention, want to be with you and is very good company. Play time
with colourful toys is new to him, but that will come with time. We may never know how he
ended up abandoned, but he is now safe and ready to be adopted into his forever home.
One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors
