Rescue:
DeeDee, Cinderella and Hunter all came from a nice horse stable. Most stables are kept
very clean and the cats and dogs there are considered pets. These cats were born at the
end of April in the lounge of the barn which is a very comfortable environment, just like a
house with soft furniture and a full kitchen. The people there took care of the kitties, sat
with them and gave them a lot of attention which provided a good start to their new life.
They have always lived indoors and are like regular house cats. But now everything was
going to change. The barn was being sold and they had to relocate the horses to a different
place, lock, stock and barrel. The cats were not invited and would not have had good care
if left behind. Being raised with children and a very kind dog, the cats, including Cinderella,
are now ready to be adopted into a home. Didi was the most timid and was quite attached
to the woman who took care of her. It was very difficult for both the woman and Didi to
part, but she just could not keep the three cats any longer.
Personality:
Deedee is a hidden gem. She is a snuggle-bug and a lap cat. She will rub herself against
your legs and want chin scratches and head rubs. She is quite chatty with a sweet, high
pitch little meow, and will let you know if she wants anything from you (food, attention, a
door opened, etc.). If the chin scratches are to her satisfaction, expect very loud purrs. If
you stop too soon, she will be sure to let you know with many headbutts and a couple of
disappointed meows. She is very smart and if you let her, she will be the queen of your
household and your heart in no time. She does not like surprises. With one eye missing, she
would be best suited in a quiet family with no other pets or young children that might sneak
up on her or appear in her field of vision when she is not expecting it. DeeDee is ready to
be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her
safely indoors
