Rescue:
Azusa and her siblings came from a country property where they had been living in a barn with their
mama, Angel. The woman renting the barn was preparing to move across Canada with her horses,
goats, and dog, and the property owner did not want the cats left behind. After a long drive to the
sanctuary, the six kittens arrived together in a large dog crate, dirty and in desperate need of a
cleanup. Everyone received a bath, which these gentle kittens handled remarkably well. Although
initially nervous about suddenly having ceilings, windows, and walls around them, Azusa and her
siblings quickly settled into the comforts and safety of indoor life.
Personality:
Azusa is the boldest of her trio of siblings and has an independent, adventurous spirit. She loves
having the opportunity to explore and investigate her surroundings, confidently checking things out
once she has had a chance to settle in. Playtime is another favourite, and her funloving side really
emerges as she becomes comfortable in her environment. While Azusa enjoys her people, she is
an independent girl who prefers to decide when it’s time for attention, making the affection she
seeks out all the more special. Curious, confident, and happy to march to the beat of her own drum,
Azusa is ready to be adopted into her forever home—one that will welcome her into the family and
keep her safely indoors.
