Sawyer

Rescue:

Sawyer’s story began on a warm summer day in a small village where neighbours know and look
out for one another. While walking his dog near the river, a local resident heard the faint sound of a
kitten crying from the tall grass. Curious, he stopped to investigate and was surprised when a tiny
kitten emerged, meowing desperately for help. With a little patience, he was able to coax the
frightened kitten close enough to pick him up. The moment Sawyer was in his arms, he clung tightly
and cried whenever he was put back down, making it clear he wanted nothing more than to be
safe. With cold nights, unpredictable weather, recent rain, and the dangers of the nearby river,
coyotes, and roaming dogs, he knew the little kitten couldn’t be left behind. He immediately
contacted one of Pet Patrol’s volunteers, knowing Sawyer would be given the chance at a better
life. Once he arrived at her home, Sawyer happily devoured an entire can of food before following
her everywhere, asking to be picked up and cuddled. It was obvious this sweet little boy had been
longing for love and security. Now safe in Pet Patrol’s care, Sawyer is ready to find the forever
family he has always deserved.

Personality:

Sawyer, affectionately known as Soy or Soybean, is the perfect mix of spunky and sweet! This
lovable little guy has two big priorities in life: plenty of playtime and just as many cuddles. Sawyer
loves greeting his people and will chirp excitedly the moment you walk through the door—or even
just into the room—before happily being scooped up for some love. During the day, he’s full of
energy, racing up his cat tree, chasing balls, and finding ways to keep himself entertained. By
evening, his playful side gives way to his inner cuddlebug, and he’s happiest lounging with his
foster family and friends with his purr motor running. Sawyer could be a wonderful solo companion
soaking up all the attention or a friendly addition to a home with another feline friend. Full of
personality, affection, and just the right amount of fire, Sawyer is ready to be adopted into his
forever home—one that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
