Rescue:
Bojangles appeared at a volunteer’s home in the dead of winter, when the weather had been cold,
rainy, windy, and relentlessly overcast. The volunteer lives near a local tourist attraction and keeps
food and water available in case stray cats pass through during the night. For about a week, her
outdoor camera captured a smaller black cat visiting nightly, and she quickly noticed he was eartipped—the international sign that a colony cat has been spayed or neutered. Knowing the
conditions were harsh and wanting to ensure his safety, she made a plan to bring him in from the
cold. A humane trap was set and surprisingly, within just two minutes, Bojangles was secured and
safely indoors. His microchip was traced to a colony caregiver who, sadly, did not remember him.
With no clear place to return, it was decided that Bojangles would come into Pet Patrol’s care,
where he could begin a new chapter in warmth and security.
Personality:
Bojangles is a laidback boy who loves nothing more than curling up in a cozy cat bed by the
window, quietly watching the birds go by. He can be a bit shy at first, but with a few gentle cheek
and chin scratches, he quickly melts into your hand and shows his sweet, affectionate side. Still
discovering the joys of indoor life, Bojangles is learning about toys and playtime—things he never
had the chance to experience before. Despite his past, he has a gentle nature and happily rewards
kindness with soft little kisses on your hand. Now that he’s had a taste of the good life, Bojangles
knows just how wonderful it can be. He would do best in an easygoing, patient, adult only home
where he can continue to build confidence and truly blossom. He would love to be adopted with his best friend Ledger. Bojangles is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
