Kailani

Kailani

Kailani

Rescue:

Pet Patrol received a message from a caseworker who was helping one of her clients rehome
several cats. The home was located in a busy area of townhouses and apartment buildings, and
while the cats were gently handled by children and accustomed to living with other cats, there were
simply too many. What initially sounded like a small group in need turned out to be a lovely mother
cat, Kailani, and her teenage kittens—Kaipo, Kiola, and Kielee. To prevent any further litters, the
family had been responsibly separated to the basement, away from an unneutered male cat in the
home. While this was a thoughtful step, it meant they were missing out on the interaction and
enrichment of a full household. When they arrived in Pet Patrol’s care, they quickly showed just
how sweet, gentle, and friendly they are, ready to experience a more enriched life and find loving
homes of their own.

Personality:

Kailani is a sweet, gentle girl who forms strong bonds with her people. She may not be a lap cat,
but she absolutely loves being close and will happily follow you from room to room, keeping you in
sight as you go about your day. Kailani is also quite the talker and enjoys “chatting” with her
humans, whether she’s greeting you, asking for attention, or simply sharing her thoughts. When it
comes to playtime, she’s wonderfully independent and can keep herself entertained with bouncy
balls, oversized catnip mice, and her favourite tunnels, darting through them with playful bursts of
energy. Kailani has lived with other cats before and tends to be submissive with those she knows,
though she can be a bit cautious when meeting new feline friends, so slow introductions are
important. She would do best either as a solo cat with a person who is home often, or with a calm,
older cat who can offer quiet companionship. Kailani is ready to be adopted into her forever home.
One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
