Owen

Rescue:

Owen is what some might call a “bedandbreakfast kitty,” finding shelter and food behind a small
hospitality business in a tourist town. About a year ago, the owner noticed him crying from
underneath her back deck. Wanting to help, she began feeding him and set up fresh food, water,
and a heated cat house so he could safely get through the winter. Owen returned regularly and
relied on the kindness of this safe place. One day, however, he appeared badly injured with bite
wounds on two of his legs and many scratches on his head and ears. It was clear that life outdoors
had become too dangerous for him. The woman reached out to a small rescue in a nearby village,
who brought Owen inside and ensured he received care before contacting Pet Patrol. Soon Owen
was on his way to us, where he could finally begin recovering in a safe and warm environment.

Personality:

Owen is a dear, sweet boy who loves being around people. He is easy to pick up and cuddle, and
he enjoys spending time soaking up attention from everyone he meets. Owen is quite chatty and
often “talks” to his people as if asking questions and checking in on what’s happening around him.
Calm and easygoing, he especially loves head scratches and fullbody massages. It has been
wonderful to watch him recover from his injuries and begin exploring the sanctuary with growing
confidence. Owen is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the
family and keep him safely indoors.
