Eclair

Rescue:

Pet Patrol received a call from a traditional farm where a mother cat had chosen a straw filled
bucket as her nursery. A photo showed her curled tightly around her kittens against a cold cement
wall—far from cozy, but all she had. When a volunteer arrived on a quiet summer day, the little
family had been moved into a chicken box, offering slightly more shelter. The mama cat, though thin
and tired, was friendly and devoted, passing along her sweet nature to her kittens: Eccles, Éclair,
and Eggnog. Thanks to Pet Patrol, these kittens grew up safe, cared for, and loved, now ready for
homes of their own.

Personality:

Éclair (and her brother) truly believes everyone—humans and cats alike—already loves her. She
purrs quickly and loudly, flops over to show her belly for rubs, and brings nonstop joy wherever she
goes. Though sometimes more reserved at first, give this girl some food or a treat, and she’s quick
to adore you. She’s also the lap cat of her litter, seeking out her humans to snuggle close to when
sleepy and fixing you with her famous “Éclair bear stare” when she wants something else (i.e.
food). On her own, she can often be spotted burrowing under the covers for quiet nap or spooning
with her brother for comfort. Éclair’s favourite toy is her beloved ducky, though she also will chase a
spring or pom pom for hours. She is inquisitive and observant, often gazing out the window from
the highest perch of her cat tree. Éclair even knows recall! When her humans singsong the word
“babies,” she runs right to the kitten room. Éclair would thrive in a home with her brother Eccles, or
another friendly cat. This beautiful girl is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will
welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
