Oja

Oja

Oja

Rescue:

Oja had been coming and going on a country property for a few years, and the people living there
often wondered if she had kittens hidden somewhere. One day, she arrived at the back door with
them in tow, as if to say, “Here they are—please help us.” The kittens were in rough shape, their
necks bald, wet, and dirty. It quickly became clear they were suffering from botfly larva embedded
in their skin, leaving them looking sad and unwell. As soon as they arrived at Pet Patrol, the larvae
were carefully removed, and the kittens were given soothing baths and medication. With proper
care and treatment, their health turned around quickly, and soon they began to thrive, safe at last
and free from the painful burden they had been carrying.

Personality:

Oja is a gentle, calm, and observant girl who may be a little shy at first, but truly blossoms with
patience and understanding. She’s more independent than clingy, yet she enjoys being near her
people—often loafing quietly nearby, keeping a soft watchful eye on everything you’re doing. Oja
doesn’t demand attention, but she absolutely appreciates it, especially gentle pets along her back
and belly. She’s a bit sensitive about hands reaching directly toward her head, so she thrives with
slow, respectful affection. Though generally quiet, Oja becomes adorably chatty at mealtime,
offering soft meows and tiny squeaks to let you know she’s ready. When playtime begins, her
playful spark shines—feather toys and laser pointers are her favourites, and she surprises you with
bursts of energy. Oja would do best in a calm, patient home that values a soft, thoughtful
companion who forms deep, meaningful bonds at her own pace. Oja is ready to be adopted into her
forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
