Rescue:
Pet Patrol was contacted by a woman living on a country property surrounded by open fields and
crops. A small barn on her land sits beside a fence that divides her property from the neighbor’s,
where there is no livestock—just a machine shop and storage buildings. Over time, several stray
cats began moving back and forth between the two properties, seeking shelter on her side and food
on the other. The neighbors, who do things the very traditional way, hadn’t been particularly
interested in the cats until the woman gently pointed out how much the rodent population had
declined with them around. Realizing their value, the neighbors agreed to have the adult cats
spayed and neutered and to continue caring for them. But among this colony were four tiny kittens
—Ocean, Oasis, Obbie, and Ocella—born in a rustic, dilapidated, and unused shed. Too young to
remain outside safely, they were rescued and brought into care so they could grow up healthy,
socialized, and protected, with the chance at warm homes of their own.
Personality:
Obbie and Oasis are like a pair of miniature teddy bears. Obbie is full of instant purrs and will
happily roll over for belly rubs, while Oasis prefers gentle ear and chin scratches. Their explorations
take them into every corner of the house in search of hidden treasures. Both enjoy racing through
tunnels, chasing springs, batting bouncing balls, and—best of all—playing with the laser light.
After they’re done zooming around and playing together, you’ll find them curled up for a cozy nap.
These affectionate siblings would make a wonderful addition to any home—their antics are
endlessly entertaining, and they’re unfazed by the calm resident dog. These boys would love to be
adopted together and grow up in a forever home, one that will keep them safely indoors.
