Rescue:
Jupiter’s mother cat, Iris, was a community cat. She came from a small town where cats
are regularly dumped off. We are not sure if she was brought to this remote village as a
teenager or if she was born to a street cat that already lived there. She is a lovely girl and
has been a very good and attentive mother to her kittens. This community has a lot of cat
lovers in it and they make a point of rescuing the friendly cats and having the feral ones
spayed or neutered. Iris came with her five kittens and they took refuge under one woman’s
back deck. As soon as she saw the kittens running around on her lawn, darting in and out of
the plants and chasing the occasional bug, she knew they needed to be rescued. Although
she wasn’t able to pet them at first, that came with time and patience. Iris and her little
feline family came into Pet Patrol care when the kittens were about seven weeks old.
Personality:
This little girl, as cute as she is, is brave and bold! She was the first of her litter to explore
any new situation, making sure she knows what is what, and where everything is. Jupiter is
cuddly and affectionate and will readily purr with happiness at being held. She is an absolute
sweetheart who wants to play with everything, is adventurous and gets into things. She
can be seen scampering across the floor, hopping around a plastic spring, or attacking a
blanket for no apparent reason. All in fun. She can be found cuddling or playing with her
foster siblings, they took to each other right away. Jupiter is ready to be adopted into her
forever home. One that will welcome her and a playmate into the family and keep her
safely indoors..
