Rescue:
Hurley came from a small village community surrounded by farms, fields, horse barns and a local
feed mill. Over the past year, as an old storage facility was torn down and replaced by a township
office, the outdoor cats in the area began migrating closer into town searching for food. Hurley was
first seen outside with an adult cat and was assumed to be feral, simply lingering around for scraps.
But one day he wandered into a garage, and the homeowner gently closed the door so he would be
safely contained until help could be arranged. He was only around four months old. The moment he
was touched it became clear he was not feral at all — he melted instantly into affection and leaned
into every gentle hand. Hurley was very loving, sweet, and trusting, and it was obvious that this little
boy needed a proper home, not a life outdoors. Soon after, he was brought into Pet Patrol care
where he could be kept safe, vetted, and given the chance for the loving indoor life he was so ready
for.
Personality
Hurley was a shy but loving little boy who has made wonderful progress in his foster home. Once
hiding under the bed, he now sits confidently in the window watching the world go by. He absolutely
melts for gentle affection—head pets and ear scratches are his favourites, and he leans right in for
more. Hurley enjoys quiet play with little mice and ball toys, happily batting them around when he
feels relaxed. He has a soft, tender nature and thrives in a patient, calm environment where he can
continue to build trust at his own pace. With love and routine, this sweet boy will blossom even
further and become a devoted companion. Hurley is ready to be adopted into his forever home.
One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
