Rescue:
Two Pet Patrol volunteers were called to a traditional farm, where the owners explained they “had
more cats if we needed them” and generously offered to share them with us. Among the group
were five tiny kittens — Garnet, Goose, Glimma, Gia, and Gabby — all only around eight weeks
old. They were darting in and out of hay bales and slipping through the horse stalls, weaving under
hoofs as they tried to avoid being picked up. It was concerning to watch because one wrong step
from a horse could have led to serious injury. Thankfully, at such a young age, they were easy to
scoop up safely and place into carriers. All five kittens were brought into Pet Patrol care, giving
them the chance to grow up in safety, warmth, and comfort — far from the dangers of barn life.
Personality
Goose is the ultimate cuddlebug—a soft, sweet little boy whose very favourite place in the world is
nestled right in your arms. If you’re looking for a kitten who truly loves people, Goose is your guy.
He’s the kind of kitty who follows you with his eyes, reaches out for attention, and happily settles in
for snuggles any chance he gets. He would absolutely thrive in a home where someone works from
home or is around often, as he adores companionship and wants to be part of your day. This
affectionate boy also loves other cats, especially when it comes to curling up together for a cozy
nap. While Goose’s main hobby is being held, he still gets playful bursts of energy—his zoomies
are fast, silly, and over in a flash before he’s back in your arms for another rest. He’s wonderfully
expressive, too, with a sweet, vocal way of letting you know when he’s ready for love or attention.
Goose is gentle, peopleoriented, and full of warmth. He will make a wonderful companion for a
loving family who enjoys snuggles as much as he does. For his safety and happiness, Goose
should be kept safely indoors.
