Rescue:
The K kittens were discovered on a quiet rural property miles from any neighborhood or
subdivision. The large barn was mostly used for winter storage, filled with covered vehicles and
boats belonging to city dwellers. It was in one of those boats that their mother had tucked them
away, curled up safely in a corner, hidden from the outside world. Though the kittens were
underweight and a bit fragile when found, they were otherwise in good health and once in Pet
Patrol’s care, they quickly began to thrive. With warmth, food, and gentle handling, they started
gaining weight and confidence day by day. Their mom, a smart and elusive girl, remained just out of
reach. But the property owner, compassionate and committed, was determined to have her spayed
and cared for. Now safe and growing strong, Kamari, Kinley, Keswick, and Kylo have left behind
their dusty corner in a boat and are well on their way to a brighter future one filled with love, play,
and the promise of forever homes.
Personality:
Kamari and Kinsley are a sweet, playful bonded pair with wonderfully different personalities that balance each other perfectly. Kamari is the more affectionate of the two and will start purring almost the moment she’s being pet, especially once she feels comfortable. She absolutely loves soft balls and will proudly carry them around crying until someone throws one for her to chase in a game of fetch. Kinsley is a little more adventurous and curious, especially when it comes to bird watching at the window or sitting by the screen door chirping away at squirrels outside. Her favourite toys are springs, and she also enjoys carrying them around asking people to play fetch with her. Both girls are incredibly entertaining, vocal when they’re hungry or looking for attention, and full of funny little quirks, from chewing cardboard boxes to following their people into the bathroom for company. While they can be shy around loud noises, sudden movements, and new people at first, once they settle in they love being nearby, whether curled up beside you, perched dramatically on the top of a chair watching over the room, or occasionally deciding your lap is acceptable — entirely on their terms, of course. Kamari and Kinsley are ready to be adopted into their forever home. One that will welcome them into the family and keep them safely indoors.
