Rescue:
In a quiet rural village surrounded by forests and farmland, a Pet Patrol volunteer maintains feeding
stations and insulated shelters for the many strays who pass through. That’s where Kiera was first
seen—just a tiny, frightened kitten herself, too wary to come close. Over the fall and winter, she
would appear for food but vanish the moment anyone approached. By early spring, Kiera was still
living near the property, and it became clear she was pregnant. Though still too shy to be touched,
she was eventually brought into Pet Patrol’s care just in time. Safe indoors, away from the dangers
of outdoor life, Kiera gave birth to six healthy kittens. She had a quiet, warm space to raise them,
with fresh food and water, and no threats from raccoons, dogs, or cold weather. Thanks to the
efforts of our volunteer and timely intervention, these kittens were born into safety. They will grow
up loved and well socialized, never knowing the fear their mother once faced.
Personality:
Kobie is very competitive with his brother Kasper, and would like to point out that he has not just
one, but three stripes of black on his head. And just like his brother, he has striking eyes with one blue
eye and one amber. Kobie is a bit more relaxed, he
loves to play and explore but just cuddling is
always an option as well. He rarely mews but has a purr that makes his entire body vibrate. He
loves toys that he can sink his teeth into and will create a stash of all the squishy balls and felt mice
to keep them safe. He would be happy to be adopted with brother Kasper or sister Kismet as long as you don’t tell them where his stash is.
