Rescue:

Callie and her kittens’ (Cher, Celine, Carlos and Cyndi) story is one of resilience and a mother’s
unwavering love. When the kittens were just six weeks old, a terrifying moment unfolded—Callie
darted across a busy road, and her babies tried to follow. Too small and too slow, they were
suddenly in the path of oncoming traffic. The woman, seeing the danger, ran out to chase them to
safety as cars rushed by. The kittens scrambled up the tires of a large construction vehicle parked
nearby. Three were scooped up quickly, but one panicked and slipped between the tight space of
two transport truck tires. Managing to free her, that little one bolted and disappeared. Miraculously,
after a few tense days and hawk sightings, she was safely rescued too. Callie is now safe and in
Pet Patrol’s care, along with all her kittens. She’s a sweet, brave mama who gets along well with
other cats, is unfazed by dogs, and stays close to the people who helped her survive.

Personality:

Callie is such a sweetheart despite her rough life. She is an elegant cat and loves to greet you with
rubbing around your legs, tail choreography and sweet meows. Callie is a sensitive cat who is still
learning to trust humans. She would do best as the only pet and a stable adult household that is
able to give her the time and attention she deserves. Callie loves to be carried and will lean in for a
good ear scratch and chin rubs. She has a loud soothing purr and will keep it going for hours while
sitting with you. While shy with new people, she has formed strong bonds in her foster home and
enjoys their company. She is playful and loves a good feather wand. Her famous move is to
pretend she is no longer interested, just for you to let your guard down so she can pounce the wand
and carry it away in her mouth. She loves watching birds, laying in the sun tummy up, and
stretching herself out on a soft blanket. Callie had four kittens who have all been adopted and is
now ready to be adopted into a home that is patient allowing her time to show her true colours.
