Rescue:
A Pet Patrol volunteer had just pulled into her driveway after work, groceries still in the car, when a
neighbour approached in distress. “She’s pregnant and I can’t have her here,” she said, referring to
a cat who had been wandering door to door looking for help. When asked if the cat was friendly, the
woman replied that her children had been playing with her all afternoon—perhaps a bit too roughly.
The volunteer walked over and found Briear, calm and easy to pick up, waiting patiently despite the
chaos around her. Without hesitation, she was brought to safety and soon on her way to the
sanctuary. Just a few hours after arriving, Briear gave birth to three healthy kittens.
Personality:
Bentley is a gentle, full grey
bundle of love; the biggest of his litter and the most mellow. He’s not
lazy, just selectively playful, enjoying toys and games of chase when the mood strikes. More often,
he’s supervising the fun from nearby, with curious eyes and a calm presence. Bentley has
mastered the art of relaxation and can often be found stretched out with his belly up, soaking in the
peace and quiet. Polite, affectionate, and litter trained, Bentley is a total sweetheart and the perfect
match for someone looking for a more laidback
companion. Bentley is ready to be adopted into his
forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
