Rescue:

Ginger was found wandering as a young stray, only about 10 to 12 weeks old. In the
neighbourhood where she appeared, most homes had dogs, but everyone knew the one woman
who cared for cats. So when Ginger was discovered—thin, scruffy, and clearly in need—she was
brought straight to her door. It was unclear where Ginger had come from. Had she been born to a
feral mother and wandered off? Was she abandoned by someone who moved away? Or had she
made her way over from one of the nearby barns in search of food and shelter? Whatever her past,
she was clearly in need of help. The woman took her in without hesitation and contacted Pet Patrol
for support. Ginger settled in quickly, grateful for warmth, food, and gentle care. She has since
been placed in foster care, where she is thriving.

Personality:

Ginger is an easygoing little sweetheart with a gentle nature and a lot of charm. She’s been thriving
in her foster home; her energy is back, her appetite is healthy, and she’s happily enjoying both her
kitten kibble and wet food (with a soft spot for shredded turkey!). This darling girl gets along
wonderfully with other cats and would be an excellent choice for a first time
pet owner. She’s
sociable, affectionate, and quick to settle in, making her a joy to care for. Ginger did have a brief
introduction to a dog, and her instincts kicked in right away; ears back, defensive stance, and
plenty of hissing. Because of that, she’s likely best suited to a dog free
home. With her gentle
temperament and curious spirit, Ginger is sure to make a lovely companion for someone ready to
give her the loving forever home she deserves. Ginger is ready to be adopted into her forever
home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
