Rescue:

In a quiet suburban neighborhood, one kindhearted
elderly woman began feeding a few stray cats.
As often happens when cats are left unspayed, a few soon became many. Though the cats weren’t
touchable, they came regularly for food and shelter, grateful for a warm place to rest. While the
woman was away, a neighbour stepped in to help with the feeding, and quickly grew concerned.
Anywhere from five to eight cats would appear each day, and it became clear that the small colony
was growing. Among them was Oaklyn, noticeably pregnant and vulnerable. While shelter had
been provided, the risks of outdoor life—especially for a mother to be—
were far too great. It wasn’t
safe for her or her soon to arrive
kittens, and adding more lives to the colony would only worsen the
problem. Thankfully, Pet Patrol was contacted just in time. Oaklyn was brought into our care, safe
and warm, with her kittens Okaya, Osaka and Omachi by her side. Now, this beautiful girl no longer
has to navigate survival. She’s starting a new chapter—one filled with comfort, care, and the
promise of a better life

Personality:

Confident, curious, and always ready for action, Okaya is the fearless leader of the litter. He’s the
first to explore new spaces and the last to leave the toy pile. Whether it’s bouncy balls, springs, or
wrestling with his siblings, Okaya thrives on play and adventure. He’s outgoing and social, always
in the middle of the fun. Okaya would do best in an active household with lots of stimulation and
would love another playful cat or kitten to keep him company. Okaya is ready to be adopted into his
forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
