Rescue:
Pasha’s mother was named Pia and before coming into our care she had been living on the
streets and was lucky enough to find a family to feed her. She would come to the same
house every day, lay on the porch and sun herself. She was fed, had a cat shelter and
people who pet her and greeted her with smiles. Since she was not spayed she had a litter
of little grey kittens at the nearby mill and was pretty smart in protecting them from predators.
The opening to her den was under a set of stairs, just big enough for her to get
through and it went in deep and farther than the eye could see. She had two kittens and
they were rescued first, and then Pia came in. By now she was heavily pregnant again and
this time she need not worry about protecting her new litter from predators. She gave birth
to five healthy little kittens under the protective care of one of our foster homes and all have
thrived and now ready for adoption.
Personality:
Pasha is very sweet and cuddly, but also likes to climb and zoom around the room after her
siblings. She is a bit more reactive than the other kittens and can be concerned when being
introduced to new spaces or animals, but she migrates to people. She is extremely smart,
curious, and always leads the escape attempts of the kittens from the playpen. She’s a
fierce little hunter of her toys when she’s not napping with Pickles. Pasha is ready to be
adopted into her forever home with her sibling Pickles. One that will welcome them into the
family and keep them safely indoors.
