Rescue:

Kookie and her siblings come from a rural barn where the cat population quickly grew out of control.
It all began with one unaltered male cat and a stray female who was abandoned there. Over time,
the situation spiraled, leaving a retired woman and her adult son—who faces health challenges—
struggling to care for an ever growing number of cats and kittens. These cats and kittens, ranging
from 15 weeks to 2 years old, are incredibly friendly and well socialized despite their challenging
start in life. With limited resources and mounting veterinary bills, the family did their best to provide
food, shelter, and medical care for the cats, but it became overwhelming. Recognizing the need for
help, they reached out to local rescues, and that’s when Pet Patrol stepped in. Kookie and her
siblings were among the first to be brought to safety. Now safe in Pet Patrol’s care, they are on the
path to finding loving homes where they will no longer have to endure concrete floors and work
benches or live in uncertainty. Their story is a reminder of the importance of spaying and neutering
and how a little compassion can change lives. Kookie and her siblings are now ready to begin a
new chapter, one filled with love and security.

Personality:

Kookie is a sweet and gentle soul who doesn’t demand attention but quietly wins hearts with her
playful and affectionate nature. Once she trusts you, she will shower you with love, leaning in for
ear scratches and curling up beside you. Her beautiful tabby markings and striking eyes give her an
expressive, soulful look that makes it impossible not to adore her. Kookie loves interactive play,
especially chasing a feather wand with joyful leaps and pounces. She enjoys watching the world
from a cozy window perch and finds comfort in being around other cats. She has a special bond
with her sister Kupcake, and they love to curl up together after a long play session. It would be
wonderful if they could find a home together, but Kookie would also thrive with another friendly cat
by her side. Kookie is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the
family and keep her safely indoors.
