Rena & Pearl

Rena & Pearl

Rescue:

Before the holiday season, a kind woman reached out about three cats who had taken to visiting
her back porch for food. These grateful felines showed their appreciation by purring and kneading
biscuits on the bare deck boards. Her husband quickly took a liking to them, and the couple was
able to pet and even pick them up, but they weren’t sure if the cats belonged to anyone. As winter
approached, and due to the woman’s severe allergies, they built a makeshift insulated house to
provide the cats with some shelter. It wasn’t perfect, but it was dry and better than braving the
elements unprotected. Living in a rural area surrounded by farms, it’s not uncommon for cats to
migrate when food and shelter are scarce. That’s exactly what these three, Reena, Pearl, and their
brother, had done. When the brutal winter months hit, the brother was welcomed into the woman’s
home despite her allergies, where he now plans to stay. Reina and Pearl came into Pet Patrol’s
care as happy, healthy, and friendly cats, ready to find their forever homes where they’ll always be
safe and warm.

Personality:

Reena and Pearl are a dream. These two girls are so grateful for being safely indoors that they’ll
shower you with affection. They enjoy being cradled in their human’s arms like little babies and
have no issue being carried around the house. They’ll even come to you for “uppies.” Reena and
Pearl are also super invested in learning about every type of toy under the sun. They only had
pebbles, twigs, and dried leaves when they were outside, so springs, pom poms, feathers, and
strings are the most exciting things they’ve ever seen! There’s nothing like toys and heated floors to
make these happy cats trot right into their playroom for a good time.
