Rescue:

Nikita and her sister Nyla, are pretty little cats who were born in a barn. This is a property
where the people are conscientious about making sure the cats are fed daily and kittens are
brought into the house for safe keeping. The barn houses a few chickens, cattle and a
horse. It is closed up at night to keep wild life out and there are warm areas for the cats to
seek shelter in the winter. This is the best situation for a country living cat, as some are not
able to care for the barn cats and strays that show up. The family is quiet and reserved, so
the home is gentle and reassuring for frightened kittens coming into the house. Nikita and
Nyla have thrived in their care.

Personality:

Nikita is an energetic social girl who’s always looking for something to do and new ways to
play. She loves being held close, will sit on your lap or pillow and adores affection including
belly rubs. This girl loves any toy that can be swatted, rolled or makes noise. She is happy
when chasing her sister Nyla in play. They entertain each other with chasing tails and
games of Hide & Seek. At nap time they cozy up to each other in a puddle of fur and purr.
Both are very loving, calm and happy girls who are very appreciative of affection! They
would do well with older children, other cats and perhaps a passive dog. Nakita is a very
pretty kitten ready to be adopted with her sister Nyla, into their forever home. One that will
welcome them into the family and keep them safely indoors.
