Rescue:
Pet Patrol received a call from a family that were being forced to move from their rental
home. Even the landlord didn’t think it was right, but the owner of the property had other
ideas. They not only had a young family but also six cats and they could not take all of
them to their temporary home. Last year they befriended a pregnant cat who had been a
stray in their neighbourhood. They brought her indoors and she had five kittens (McFly,
Blondie and Alex among them) within the safety of their home. But here we are, nine
months later and none of them are spayed or neutered, and the three they kept were staying
with a friend until a permanent home could be found. These three boys are definitely
bonded and it’s possible that each of them would do well on his own as long as there is an
accepting playmate for them there. They all get on amazingly well and share food, beds,
and toys without any histrionics
Personality:
Alex is gray and white with the most charming leggings. His fur is soft, and somehow
seems to match his sweet temperament. He is the least interested in toys, although he will
indulge to a modest degree. One can imagine him as a more philosophical pussycat than
his brothers, more likely to watch from the sidelines or trot regally after a toy for a short
while. Although it took several days to adjust to his foster home, he hasn’t looked back.
Watching out the windows at the bird feeders from a cat tree perch is a favourite. Alex
will make a lovely companion, liking chin and ear scratches and especially belly rubs. As
his confidence has grown he has made himself more at home and loves the attention of his people. Alex is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
