Rescue:
Pet Patrol received a call about three kittens, Java, Jett and Juno, that were on a property,
cared for by children. Unfortunately there was quite a concern about the proper care for the
babies and the neighbours were watching closely. One day they observed the children taking
the kittens into the house in the evening, and next morning putting them outside again to be
greeted by the frantic mother cat. The kittens were just three weeks of age at the time and
should not have been restricted from nursing for that long. This went on for a number of days
until someone said something and then the kittens were left outside at night. On one particular
day, the children were seen to put leashes on the wee babies and try to walk them like a dog,
but being uncoordinated they stumbled and fell. Other improper things were done as well until
finally the neighbour went over with a carrier and gathered up the kittens and told the parents
what the children were doing and left with them. They were eventually brought into Pet Patrol
care and have since thrived in a safe and comforting environment. .
Personality:
Jett is the sweetest little boy. If he’s sleeping when you enter the room, he’s up and winding
around your ankles with a purr in an instant. He loves to be cuddled on your lap, letting you rub
his adorably spotted belly, play with his paws, and, when he’s feeling particularly sleepy, cradle
him on his back like a baby. However, being the well-rounded gentleman that he is, Jett loves
playtime just as much as cuddles. He’ll happily play with each and every toy, but the cat dancer
is obviously the best! Jett is a very nice boy, happy with anyone and confident with new places
and things. He can’t wait to be adopted and have some new people to fall in love with him! He
is ready to be adopted into his forever home with a sibling or playmate. One that will welcome
him into the family and keep his safely indoors.
