Rescue:

Pet Patrol received a call about three kittens, Java, Jett and Juno, that were on a property,
cared for by children. Unfortunately there was quite a concern about the proper care for the
babies and the neighbours were watching closely. One day they observed the children taking
the kittens into the house in the evening, and next morning putting them outside again to be
greeted by the frantic mother cat. The kittens were just three weeks of age at the time and
should not have been restricted from nursing for that long. This went on for a number of days
until someone said something and then the kittens were left outside at night. On one particular
day, the children were seen to put leashes on the wee babies and try to walk them like a dog,
but being uncoordinated they stumbled and fell. Other improper things were done as well until
finally the neighbour went over with a carrier and gathered up the kittens and told the parents
what the children were doing and left with them. They were eventually brought into Pet Patrol
care and have since thrived in a safe and comforting environment. .

Personality:

Juno is a great little kitten. He’s the most laidback of his brothers (Jett and Java) but he still
likes to play! His favourite toys are bouncy balls thrown across the room but of course he’ll play
with any toy that comes his way. He also likes his scratching post – jumping onto it and hanging
out for a bit while he looks around the room and decides on his next move. He is always up for
petting and will curl up on your lap when he’s sleepy, but his favourite way to seek affection is
when he can arch his body up into your hand. He is so happy his tail can’t be held high enough,
and he just has to flop it fully over his back. His colouring matches his brother Java’s – strong
tabby markings – and it makes them hard to tell apart! Juno is ready to be adopted into his
forever home with a sibling or playmate. One that will welcome him into the family and keep
him safely indoors.
