Rescue:
Amaro were barn kittens where the woman is trying to keep her cat colony controlled
through spaying and neutering all the barn cats. She has had several back surgeries and
now unfortunately is walking bent over and struggling to care for the cats and her 90 something
year old mother. A neighbour had been feeding the cats for her, but also taking the
kittens without her knowledge and selling them. They were not vet checked or vaccinated
and he was making a bit of pocket change out of a sad situation. The woman was not
happy about this and asked for assistance from Pet Patrol in rescuing the kittens and
finding them proper homes. Amaro was far too young to be taken from his mother, and
other kittens that came to Pet Patrol did not even know how to eat food yet and needed to
be bottle fed for the first week. They all have thrived and Amaro is a happy and healthy
kitten now.
Personality:
Such a nice, happy go lucky and loving cat. Amaro loves everyone and is great with the
other kitties in his foster home. He is outgoing, brave and is liking the attention from everyone.
He is very playful and loves the kitty tunnel especially and all the toys that have been
offered to him. Gazing out the window keeping track of the birds and squirrel is a nice
afternoon prelude to a cuddle and nap on his caregivers lap. He is such a gem. Amaro is
ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and
keep him safely indoors.
