Rescue:

Leo is a sweet, gentle caramel and cream-coloured cat who came to Pet Patrol through a lady
who found him curled up for a nap on one of the camping chairs on her porch. She reported
that he had been coming to her for visits for some time and at one point, he did have a collar
with bells on it. The collar has been lost in Leo’s challenges of living on the busy city streets.
All cats that come to Pet Patrol’s care are scanned for a microchip. Leo had one, which is
how we know his name, and his owners were contacted. Sadly there has been no response
but it was heard through the grapevine that he was now a designated outdoor cat, with no
shelter provided because he was mature and not neutered. It is very odd that he was
microchipped but not altered.

Personality:

You can see from Leo’s expressive eyes that he wants love, affection and attention, but his
experiences have taught him that he needs to be careful. When the streets became his new
home, the challenges of survival replaced the comforts of a warm household and took away
some of his trust. But he has shown that he likes pets and ear scritches, and with some patience, his sweet nature is sure to emerge even more. Leo is looking for a forever home, one
that will welcome him into the family and let him experience the joys of being a much loved and
pampered pet. He has adjusted to living completely indoors.
